开发ChatGPT的OpenAI公司首席施行官 山姆·奥尔特曼（Sam Altman）也在一夜之间名望大噪，成为全球范畴内当之无愧的科技领军人物。
1985年4月， 奥尔特曼在美国芝加哥出生。他8岁生日那天，父母送给别人生第一台电脑。他从此沉浸于编程，还学会了拆电脑。
那台电脑也改动了他的一生。到了16岁的时候，他向父母坦诚出柜。
He told The New Yorker that having his own computer helped him with his sexual orientation.“Growing up gay in the Midwest in the 2000s is not the greatest experience you can have,” he told The New Yorker. “Finding chat rooms on AOL was very important. Keeping secrets is bad, even when you are eleven or twelve.”
